“Seek out that particular mental attribute which makes you feel most deeply and vitally alive, along with which comes the inner voice which says, ‘This is the real me,’ and when you have found that attitude, follow it.” ~James Truslow Adams
So I am kind of spunky (see my first post), but what makes me so spunky?
Well, maybe I am so spunky because I am easily amused, find pleasure in the little things, and because I generally enjoy life and try to live it to the fullest! I am outgoing, chatty, and I love to laugh, and do so a lot. I can only assume that all of those things help make up what it is that people see as spunk.
A number of things that make my world go round:
My family and friends and spending time with them…
Art – creating it and appreciating it…
Quotes
The smell of Honeysuckle (Citrus tree blossoms come in a very close second)
Music – a large array of it…
A good book
The outdoors – hiking, camping, throwing a frisbee in the park, taking a walk, watching the sunset or admiring a great view…
Learning
Good food
Exercise – I forget I love it sometimes, but I do indeed enjoy it…
Trying new things
Trees
Traveling
Amusement parks
Psychology and the workings of our brains
The feeling of accomplishment I get from putting things together or fixing something

Statement
I can’t pinpoint exactly why but I’ve always had an artist’s heart. My curiosity and exploration into my creativity started when I was young and continues today. I strive to incorporate creativity and artistry into all facets of my life. Since realizing my passion for the arts during childhood, I’ve expressed my creativity in a multitude of mediums. Though I consider myself a painter, I have no intention to ever stop exploring and studying various media, styles, and forms of art.
I like to incorporate movement, depth, and texture in my work and in turn create multiple areas and points of interest. My work is part emotion and chance combined with calculated artistic/design choices. I enjoy the surprising results of my experimentation, and I continuously fuel my passion through knowledge, enthusiasm, and the inspiration I find all around me.
Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. ~Harold Whitman

How wonderful to be introduced to you via CED. I’ve enjoyed reading about you and looking at your beautiful art. I especially like the tree sculptures you make but liked all of the diverse range of art you create.

You don’t have any contact information posted anywhere on your Facebook page or on this page. I wanted to email you about a piece that you had at Coffee Plantation.
